Don't be mean. I know G likes alot of bland guff like Frightened Rabbit, but Fleet Foxes are a step too far.

I'm not going to rise to it.

Actually I am, Fleet Foxes are ace, so piss off. Wink

So having asked on here, the VA board, sticking on a few things I'd always meant to get, and downloading a couple of new albums (Rammstein and Weezer), my iPhone playlist now looks like this:

Aesop Rock - None Shall Pass
Angels of Light - We Are Him
August Burns Red - Constellations
Biffy Clyro - iTunes Live From London EP
The Big Pink - A Brief History Of Love
Brand New - Daisy
Burnt By The Sun - Heart of Darkness
Camera Obscura - My Maudlin Career
Converge - Jane Doe
The Devin Townsend Project - Ki
Eaststrikewest - Wolvves
The Crown - Crowned In Terror
Faunts - Feel Love Thinking Of
Five Pointe 0 - Untitled
The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots
Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes
The Frames - Fitzcarraldo
Frightened Rabbit - The Midnight Organ Fight
Manchester Orchestra - I'm Like A Virgin Losing My Child
mewithoutYou- It's All Crazy It's All False It's All A Dream It's Alright
The National - Sad Songs For Dirty Lovers
Pavement - Brighten The Corners
Rammstein - Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da
Ray LaMontagne - Till The Sun Turns Black
Reigning Sound - Love And Curses
Relient K - Forget And Not Slow Down
Reuben - Very Fast, Very Dangerous
Rival Schools - United By Fate
Silversun Pickups - Carnavas
Telefon Tel Aviv - Immolate Yourself
The Smiths - Hatful of Hollow
The Sound Of Animals Fighting - Tiger & The Duke
Tim Hecker - Harmony In Ultraviolet
We Are Scientists - With Love And Squalor
Weezer - Raditude
We Were Promised Jetpacks - These Four Walls

I still have several GB to fill so if anyone's not suggested then fire in - otherwise, folk can suggest another.

I'd totally suggest you give Kraftwerk another go man. They are the "in" thing lately.

Between the Buried and Me - The Great Misdirect

It's their newest album. It's brilliant.

I especially love Desert of Song and Swim To The Moon.

I genuinely hope you enjoy it as much as I am.

Baroness - Blue Record
Possibly one of the best albums that's come out so far this year. Beautiful, progressive, sludgey and just utterly wonderful.

If you've already got that one...

Wodensthrone - Loss
Go on G, go mental, I DARE you to try some British Black Metal! Really atmospheric, and quite like Wolves in the Throne Room imo.

The one band I've been spinning way too much of over the last few months is The Ghost of a Thousand, particularly the first album This Is Where The Fight Begins, though the latest record, New Hopes, New Demonstrations is equally as good. I recall you're quite fond of Gallows so these should be right up your street, cept these are much more better and are lacking in the more punx than thou attitude of the jebs in Gallows. Wink

This popped into my head, and it occurred to me to update you all.

Sometimes it's quite annoying having all this stuff on my iPod as shuffle throws up stuff I'd never normally listen to.

That said, I've found a bunch of stuff through this so it was well worthwhile.

MewithoutYou's 'It's All Crazy It's All False It's All A Dream It's Alright' made it in to my top 10 of the year and Brand New's Daisy narrowly missed out on making it too but I am loving that album.

Really dug Burnt By The Sun, Converge, The Crown, The Flaming Lips, Fleet Foxes, The Frames, Reigning Sound and Rival Schools - as for Aesop Rock, Camera Obscura, Manchester Orchestra, The National, Ray Lamontagne, Silversun Pickups and The Smiths, they all sound promising enough that I might get into them.

There really wasn't anything I didn't like, although on first impressions I wasn't overly fussed on Angels of Light, The Big Pink, Faunts, Five Point O, Pavement, Relient K or Tim Hecker.

I daresay there's some stuff I've barely listened to or possibly haven't stuck on once, but I'm still making my way through it all.

Good stuff Cool
